In 2008 Cherryhomes purchased a seating block and writing frame for a 9-year-old boy who was recovering from a brain tumour and has acquired brain injury following surgery. An application was made on behalf of the boy from the Special Needs Coordinator at his Middle School and was financed by the Trust. This is one of the smaller ways the Trust can help disabled people. The frame and wedge cost £50.
